Questions & Answers
I really love the Scarlett skirt but I am not sure what to wear with it?
The Scarlett skirt is made of cotton jersey so you should choose a top in the same material. The Lena, Sarah, Alex or Eva top would work well as they are made of the same fabric and the colours in the skirt are available in the tops.
I have a black & beige Scarlett skirt but I am short, what would be the best colour top to wear with this skirt?
Choose a top such as the Eva or Lena in the same colour as the main part of the skirt, in this case black. By using the main colour in the skirt and top you will give the illusion of height as you will be wearing the same colour from your neck to your ankles. The tops I have advised are simple and have less material so they will be neat fitting on your smaller frame.
I have lots of JHC clothes but I am not sure how to accessorise them?
The JHC collection definitely suits more organic chunky jewellery.
Long beaded necklaces are wonderful. Often the collection has detail in the piece and should therefore be accessorised with bracelets and earrings not necklace. Please take a look at some of the styled outfits on the website for ideas.
I am going on beach holiday but my luggage allowance is limited. Could you please advise what I could take with me?
I suggest the following core pieces:
- Rachel shrug - check the website to see the four options on how to wear this.
- Sarah or Suski top - wear these with Maya Harems for a complete look or wear them over shorts on the beach.
- Maya Harems – to be worn with a top or just over your bikini.
- Ella Jumpsuit - this can be worn for day or evening. Use your Rachel shrug to cover your arms if you are going somewhere you need to be modest.
- Paloma dress - this can be worn day and night and could also work as a top with Mayas should you need to.
From these 5 pieces you can create many outfits. This would be an example of one combination you could use. Please contact me for a more comprehensive breakdown.
I am busty but have good legs what JHC pieces will suit me? I am looking for a dress.
You should avoid pieces that have a high neckline. A v neck or low scoop will suit you best.
The Emily, Paloma or Stacey dress would be great. They are a good cut for your bust and will show off your legs.
I have good arms and legs but carry weight around my middle and hips. Can you advise what trousers I should choose?
Suski & Maya trousers would be great for you as they are loose around the mid section. They work well with many of the sleeveless top in the JHC collection. The Maya’s are cotton jersey so choose a top in the same fabric such as Lena, Alex, Sarah or Eva.
The Suski is made of crepe so choose an Abby shirt (see item for options on how to wear this) or Tory top. These tops will show off your arms.
I need clothes for an office environment. What would you suggest from the JHC collection?
The Signature shift worn with a long necklace, simple heels and large bag.
The Vanessa dress would also be a good choice. If its a modest work environment you could team it with a tan jacket and tan accessories.
I work in an office and need to wear suits but would like to add a little edge to my look. Can you suggest anything?
Try different colour combinations, not just the normal black navy cream and white.
The Abby shirt comes in a range of interesting colours and would work very well with a suit, tuck it into your trousers or skirt and add a belt and a necklace that combines the colour of the shirt and suit.
